The Springfield Disabilities Commission
was established by the City Council to
promote the inclusion and integration of
persons with disabilities in the
activities, services and employment
opportunities in our community.
Commission Functions:
-
Advise and assist municipal
officials in ensuring compliance
with federal and state disability
laws:
-
Review policies and activities of
municipal departments and boards as
they affect persons with
disabilities;
-
provide information, referral,
advocacy and technical assistance to
individuals, businesses and
organizations in all matter
pertaining to disability.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month except the

office, Suite 501, Meyers Building, 1 W.
Old Capitol Plaza
or
another fully accessible room if that is
not available. Meeting will begin
at 5:30 p.m.
