Division I - Operations

Division I consists of approximately 195 persons. Division 1 Operations is lead by Division Chief of Operations Mark Hart.

Springfield Fire Truck

Our main objective in the Operations Division is fire suppression and emergency medical services. We also provide Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue Response to the citizens of Springfield as well as having capabilities of a nationwide response as a member of the state of Illinois Mutual Aid Box Alarm System (MABAS).

Our goal is to give the quickest and best services to the citizens of Springfield.

Other non-emergency services for Division I are the testing of all fire hydrants each year, and developing and refining preplans for buildings.
