Adopt-a-Street

Adopt-a-Street, a litter pick-up program modeled after the State of Illinois' Adopt-a-Highway program, has enabled community groups and businesses to have a direct hand in city beautification projects.

  • Capitol Ave. from Second St. to 11th St.
  • Carpenter St. from Third St. to Walnut St.
  • Fifth Street from South Grand Ave. to Ash St.
  • Jackson St. from Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. to 11th St.
  • Long Bay Drive from E. Lake Shore Dr. to Hazel Dell Ln.
  • N. Grand Ave., Converse St., Michigan Ave. and 11th St. around Lanphier High School
  • North Grand Ave. from Sixth St. to Walnut St.
  • Pope Ave. from S. Grand Ave. to Ash St.
  • Seventh St. from Bergen St. to Carpenter St.
  • Seventh St. from S. Grand Ave. to E. Oak St.
  • Stanford Ave. from Fourth St. to MacArthur Blvd.
