Greetings from Chief John Kulek

The Springfield Fire Department protects one of the most recognizable symbols of our nation, the only home President Abraham Lincoln's ever owned.  Springfield is unparalleled in American history with visitors coming from all over the world, presenting a challenging environment for firefighting and emergency medical services.

Springfield is the home of the Abraham Lincoln Lincoln Presidential LibraryPresidential Library and Museum, enjoying over 1 million visitors in less than two years of operation.  This has greatly increase our challenge.

The Springfield Fire Department meets those challenges through teamwork, professionalism and a commitment to the people we serve.
