Every Fire Fighter undergoes 14 weeks of recruit training in:

Emergency Medical Tech. EMT B/D
Certified Fire Fighter II
Fire Apparatus Engineer
Rescue Specialist-Roadway Extrication
Haz Mat - Awareness
Haz Mat - Operations
Confined Space/Trench Awareness

The Training and Education Division is responsible for the academic and manual shills training required of all fire personnel to meet the daily duties of fire prevention, fire suppression, EMS, rescue and hazardous materials mitigation.  The division works in liaison with the National Fire Academy, Lincoln Land Community College, Illinois Fire Service Institute and the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
