Mayor Timothy J. Davlin has presented awards in the city’s fifth annual, local beautification contest, Springfield In Bloom. This neighborhood improvement initiative spearheaded by Illinois Times and Springfield Green called on residents, neighborhood groups and businesses to nominate both new and existing landscaping projects that they feel were making the biggest impacts on street-side beautification. Click HERE for more.

Springfield Green is dedicated to the beautification of the Capital City area, benefiting the environment, and improving the quality of life for everyone, resident and visitor alike, whose backbone is its partnership with local businesses and volunteers.

Springfield Green changes out downtown planters four times a year.  Click HERE to see the plant varieties used in the planters.
