Mayor J. Michael Houston, today, announced the names of several individuals who will help him manage the operation of Springfield City government.

“These individuals will help accomplish the goals that I have established for the next four years,” said Mayor Houston. “They will be key in working directly within the various departments to bring change to City government, a change for the better.”

“During the campaign, I talked about balancing the budget and prioritizing the delivery of services. These appointments will help get that process moving forward in a manner in which we can be more responsive and more effective in what we do.”

Named to leadership positions in City government were:

• Willis (Bill) Logan - Executive Assistant to the Mayor

• Tom Kelty - Corporation Counsel

• Ken Fustin - Fire Chief

• Bill McCarty - Director of the Office of Budget & Management (OBM)

• Mike Farmer - Director of the Office of Planning and Economic Development (OPED)

• Mark Mahoney - Director of the Office of Public Works
