About the Program

The State of Illinois has launched a new small business recovery grant to help Illinois businesses get Back 2 Business. If your business has revenues of $20 million or less and experienced a loss of revenue in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you may qualify for this program. Available funding is between $5,000 to $150,000 and a total of $250 million in grants will be awarded.
  • Grants to cover operations, staff, and overhead costs.
  • Prioritized for businesses that have not yet received emergency relief dollars from programs like PPP and BIG.
  • Focus on hardest hit industries including hotels, salons, fitness centers, restaurants, arts organizations.
  • Focus on Disproportionately Impacted Areas.

If you have the following five documents, it will take less than 30 minutes to apply.
  • Proof of your business owner ID (ITIN accepted)
  • The 2019 Federal tax return for your business
  • The 2020 Federal tax return for your business
  • One bank statement from April – October 2020 for your business
  • Most recent bank statement for your business
Business application portal is slated to close on October 11, but organizers encourage Springfield-area businesses to submit their applications now as funds may run out.
