The Wetterer-Hodde House

The Wetterer-Hodde House located at 1004 Williams Boulevard was built in 1925. The Italian Revival style home located in the Washington Park area is believed to be built by the architectural firm Helmle and Helmle. The original home owner Charles Wetterer, a German store owner of Springfield dry goods lived in the home until 1937 that is when he sold the property to the Hodde family who owned the residence for nearly 75 years until the current owners purchased the property.The home is in near original condition featuring the original floor plans, doors, windows, sconces and trim to the exterior light fixtures, orange tile roof, copper gutters and sidewalk.
