This year marks the Springfield Police Department’s 177th anniversary. I am proud to say that our department has provided quality service and protected the capital city for that long. Over the years the city, the department and law enforcement as a whole has changed and grown. Each year new challenges arise and we adapt and overcome while still continuing to serve our community.
