An open house and public meeting for Wards 2 and 3 residents to learn about the program and sign up to be on the replacement list is set for Thursday, December 12 from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Salvation Army located at 1600 E. Clear Lake.

Holiday Lights Recycling at the City of Springfield

Have holiday lights that are unused or broken? Drop them off at the City of Springfield for FREE recycling.

Boxes are available at Lincoln Library's lobbies and our Municipal Center West Building at 300 S. 7th Street. Organized by BLH Computers, and the donated proceeds will go to the Rotary Club of Springfield Sunrise.

The above locations will accept holiday lights until January 3, 2025.

High School Holiday Program

The City announces a partnership with District 186 for the return of the High School Holiday Program! The talented choirs from District 186 high schools will once again bring the sounds of the season to life. Their performances will air during the week of Christmas, daily at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, on cable Channel 18 and YouTube. Be sure to tune in and enjoy the holiday spirit these students bring to our community!
