Summary of Board
The commission shall consist of fifteen members to be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the city council. Of those fifteen, one shall be from each of the following industries: construction, financial, real estate and two members shall reside or work within a tax increment finance (T.I.F.) district. One member shall be designated by the School District 186 Board of Education. One member shall be designated by the Sangamon County Board. One member shall be designated by the Springfield Park District Board of Trustees. One member shall be designated by the Capital Township Board of Trustees. One member shall be designated by the Lincoln Land Community College Board of Trustees. One member shall be designated by the Sangamon County Water Reclamation District Board of Trustees. The remaining four shall be selected at large from residents of Springfield.
