We are accepting public comments regarding the City's proposed draft of the Fiscal Year 2023 Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Funds (HOME). Comments must be received by May 15 at 4:30 p.m. Or you can join us for a Public Hearing the same evening at 5:30 p.m. to share your comments in person.

Master Plan Workshop

Join other community members at a Visioning Workshop for Downtown Springfield and the Mid-Illinois District Master Plan, Thursday, May 18, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at the Memorial Learning Center, 228 W. Miller Street. It is a time to brainstorm, share ideas, and collaborate about the master plan for the two areas. The City of Springfield is a proud partner of the initiative.

Home Exterior Repair Help

Residents who need financial assistance to complete much needed exterior home repairs are encouraged to review the City’s Planning & Economic Development home repair programs. There are various exterior rehab programs and one interior/exterior rehab program for residents who live in specific areas of the City and meet the income qualifications. Questions? Accessibility Ramp Program

The City partners with the Springfield Center for Independent Living (SCIL) to build accessibility ramps in low-income census tracts in Springfield. To learn more about this program, call 217-789-2377.
