Branch Pickup

    City-Wide Branch Collection

The City of Springfield’s 2020 branch pick up program has not yet begun This service is conducted by our own Public Works crews and the branch pickup schedule will be announced at the end of April. Due to the COVID-19 orders, the spring branch pickup will begin at a later date.

Smaller branches and twigs may be broken up and placed in yard waste containers for pick up. The “no sticker” yard waste program - which is different from the branch pickup program - begins April 6.

As a reminder, branches are not allowed in boulevards.

    Residential Branch Drop Off

Residents may drop off branches to Evans Recycling with proof of residency until the end of March 2021. This service is not for commercial contractors but for city residents only. Evans Recycling is located at 2100 J. David Jones Parkway and is open Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. – 12-noon. Contact number is 217.391.0886.

Branch Piles Are NOT Considered Yard Waste

As a reminder, the city's branch pickup is a DIFFERENT program from the city’s bi-weekly yard waste pick up program that is now until the end of March 2021. The branch pickup program only occurs twice a year.
